The Gardner-Webb University School of Performing and Visual Arts will present “The Tender Land,” an opera by Aaron Copland, on Nov. 2-3 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 4 at 2:30 p.m. The opera will take place in the Dover Theatre, located beside the Lutz-Yelton Convocation Center. Set in the 1930s, “The Tender Land” is a coming-of-age story about a teenage girl who is about to graduate from high school in a small rural town and is ready to go out and experience the world.https://digitalcommons.gardner-webb.edu/gardner-webb-newscenter-archive/2750/thumbnail.jp
